Meet Dr. Sarah Traylor
DVM
Dr. Sarah Traylor is the newest Veterinarian with Short Pump Animal Hospital. Dr. Traylor received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine. She did one year of clinical rotations at 11 different veterinary and specialty centers, and has a professional interest in ultrasound/radiology, surgery, and client education. Dr. Traylor also received her Fear Free Certification, Companion Laser Certification, and Basic & Advanced CPR Certification.
Starting off as a veterinary assistant in 2011, Dr. Traylor then went on to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2015. She has always had a passion for caring for animals, and she loves that she is able to help her patients each day and bring comfort to their owners.
Dr. Traylor was born and raised in Glen Allen, Virginia. She resides here with her 4-year-old cat named Flynn, who she rescued before veterinary school. Just like a dog would, Flynn loves to go on walks, swim, and hang his head out the window during car rides! When Dr. Traylor is outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, scuba diving, kayaking, traveling, and going to concerts.
